Bake-Me-a-Wish Review and Giveaway (US only)

Here is a life truth for you -- there are few things better than getting a cake in the mail :)  Seriously.  I'm not sure I've ever been more excited while waiting for something to arrive!   Bake-Me-a-Wish allowed me to do a review and a giveaway for my lady's 1st birthday, and we were so excited to try one of their gourmet cakes!

We received a Peanut Butter Mousse Cake on Friday, and I REALLY had to restrain myself not to eat it before my daughter's birthday on Sunday. Really. It called to me from the freezer... "Just eat a tiny little piece. No one will notice".  I resisted...I promise :)  We had the cake on her birthday with my Mom and Maw Maw, and everyone enjoyed it.  It is definitely made with high quality ingredients, and though I do wish that the bottom would have been a little more moist, I did enjoy the rich mix of peanut butter and chocolate.

Here is the cake before we served it up! (doesn't it look yummy?!):

Here is the lady who we were celebrating!

Here is my Maw Maw enjoying her first taste of a Bake Me a Wish cake at her great-granddaughter's first birthday!

Everyone loved the cake, and it was really rich, so it went a lot further than I expected it to!  We were sad when the last piece was eaten :)

Here is one thing that I DO want to mention because it was the only thing I was disappointed about.  I did not read the information on the Bake-Me-a-Wish site about the size of the cake.  A 7" diameter cake is NOT big enough for a birthday party.  Quite honestly, I was surprised that a cake that costs $39.95 plus shipping would be so small.  But...if you're looking for the perfect gift to send to someone with a sweet tooth who doesn't live in the same area as you do, then Bake Me a Wish is a good option!  Bake Me a Wish will deliver overnight (if needed), and they deliver nationwide!  They bake all of their gourmet cakes in their New York bakery, and each cake comes with an elegant box and personalized greeting card!

You can order one of your own by calling 888-YUR-WISH or by ordering online at Bake Me a Wish!   The great new is that sales from certain cakes, such as the Mortgage Cakes, will benefit various charities!  It's a way for you to give twice :)

NOW ON TO THE GIVEAWAY!

Bake Me a Wish would like to offer a Peanut Butter Mousse Cake (which just happens to be the cake of the month) to a Ten Talents reader!

Here's how to enter.  Do one or more of ANY of the following five entries.  Leave a separate comment for each entry and leave your email address in each comment!

1) Visit Bake Me a Wish and tell me another cake you'd love to try!  It's going to be a HARD CHOICE!
2) Follow Ten Talents via GFC.  Leave your GFC name.
3) Follow Ten Talents via Facebook.
4) Follow Ten Talents via RSS.
5) Tweet about this giveaway by hitting the retweet button under this post.  Leave the link to your tweet.  (can be done once daily)

Disclosure:  I was not paid for writing this review and giveaway and all opinions expressed are mine.  I was sent a Peanut Butter Mousse Cake for review.   This contest will run from September 9th to September 21st at 12 p.m. EST.  Comments will be closed after this time, and one winner will be chosen from all the entries using random.org.  I will contact the winner via email, and he or she will have 48 hours to respond and accept the prize or I will choose another winner.

As a chocoholic - I can't resist the Chocolate Mousse Torte - though all the cakes do sound marvelous.

I do appreciate the heads up about the size / number of servings. That kind of surprises me too.
