If you aren't a member of JCPenney Rewards, you should definitely become one.  I signed up about a year ago, and I think I've already received 3 or more $10 off of a $10 or more purchase coupons to use in store.  This means that you can get items for free or close to free!  When I got one before we left for China, I was able to score my husband some really high quality white t-shirts that he needed for only $2.71.  They were originally $25, but JCP was running a 50% off sale the day that I used the coupon!

Not as much goes on around the blogosphere on the weekends, so I thought about trying to get a little game going.  I really love quotes, and I've met so many different types of people in just the past few weeks.  I thought it might be interesting to have us each share a quote that we like, but with a twist.

Let's turn this into a little game of telephone.

Here's what you do:
1.  Check out the blog before you on the McLinky.  Read the quote posted there (and look around while you're at it!  If you like them, leave a comment or follow them!)
2.  Think of a quote related to that quote that you really like (or one that you think is funny, deep, etc.).
3. Make your own Say It Again Saturday Post with your quote.
4. Post your SIAS entry on the McLinky
5.  I'll post the first and last quote on my blog on Sunday morning to see if our quotes are related at all...and maybe some really good quotes from in between!

So, let's see if this works!  I can foresee many potential pitfalls in this game, but let's just go for it anyway :)  It COULD be fun...and that's enough for me!  I'll start this week, and if this actually works, I'll use random.org to choose someone to go first next week!

Here's my quote:

Just thought I'd share my absolute favorite summer cookie recipe with you.  I have the BIGGEST sweet tooth, so it's possible that I've tried almost every cookie out there :)  This one is perfect for summer!

Luscious Lemmond (Lemon & Almond) Cookies

Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter (softened)                  2 cups flour
1 cup sugar                                       1/2 tsp salt
1 egg                                                 1 tsp. baking powder
1TBS milk                                        1/3 cup chopped almonds
1/2 tsp vanilla                                   1 tsp grated lemon peel
1/8 tsp almond flavoring


1. Cream the ingredients on the left
2.  Add the ingredients on the right.  Make sure you add the lemon peel last!
3.  Mix well.
4.  Bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 8 minutes (this will vary based on oven size and other oven-related factors)
5.  Cool and serve!
