Betty Crocker Potato Buds Review & Giveaway ($45+ value) {US only}

Recently, MyBlogSpark asked me if I'd like to do a review and a giveaway of Betty Crocker's Potato Buds. I am a fan of Betty Crocker and frequently use the instant mashed potatoes, so I was very interested to try the Potato Buds for the first time. The first thing that I noticed while preparing them is that you don't use up an entire packet like you do with the instant mashed potatoes. You can choose how many servings to make, which I like. I find that I make way too much for our small family of three when I use the instant mashed potato packets. However, having said that, I also want to say that this makes the Potato Buds a tiny bit more work than the instant mashed potatoes. I thought 3 to 4 servings would be enough for four people, but it wasn't, so I had to give out smaller than normal servings. You also have to measure out the potato bud flakes instead of just dumping the entire packet into the water/butter mixture. Not too much more work, but still...thought it was worth mentioning :) I liked the taste of the Potato Buds, but I didn't think that they really tasted that much different than the Betty Crocker Instant Mashed Potatoes. In the future, I will probably buy whichever is cheapest because they do taste so similar to me. I definitely will be buying one or the other though because they really do save SO much time and I like how they taste :)
